Our real estate tax group has wide-ranging experience of structuring and implementing property related transactions to maximum advantage including planning for and advising on the VAT, Corporation Tax and Stamp Duty Land Tax aspects. Members of the group work closely with the corporate, finance and real estate teams to achieve the tax efficient structuring of corporate and asset acquisitions, disposals and reconstructions. The group's role is essential in most real estate transactions, as more sophisticated methods of owning, exploiting and developing real estate assets are constantly evolving.

The team participates widely in the formulation and development of tax expertise and policy in the UK through membership of such organisations as the Law Society's Tax Committee, the VAT Practitioners Group and the Land and Property Liaison Group and the Stamp Taxes Practitioners Group.
