LG's hotels team handles deals across the industry. We advise and negotiate on acquisitions and disposals; luxury resorts and developments; hotel management agreements, leases and franchise agreements; asset management arrangements; related funding agreements. We also act for lenders on funding and development/refurbishment transactions.

Our team draws on the substantial expertise of our leading real estate and corporate practices, together with our specialists in construction, property tax, finance, competition, planning, environment, employment, construction and property litigation.

Portfolios

We have advised on several large portfolio acquisitions, including the recent £1.1bn acquisition of 47 Marriott Hotels from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Trophy assets

We handle full service luxury hotels, for example advising the lender on the funding of the Marriott 140 Park Lane.

Luxury resorts

We are currently advising on several luxury resort developments in the Caribbean.

International

We have worked on deals in many continental European countries, most recently in Spain, Holland and Germany for clients such as The Granada Trust, Taj Hotels, Strategic Hotel Capital Inc. and Marriott European Hotel Operations. We are also active in India and the Gulf region.

Hotel Funds

Our investment funds team does the capital raising work for various funds across the globe, for example raising funds for investment and development in Vietnam and surrounding Asian countries and also in South East Europe.
