Steven has experience in all aspects of corporate recovery work acting for administrative receivers, liquidators, administrators and banks. His contentious experience has included acting for banks, liquidators and administrators in asset recovery work including a number of reported cases. His non-contentious experience has included acting for banks and insolvency practitioners on security issues, and several high profile administrations. He has also acted for the Official receiver as provisional liquidator on public interest petitions.

Experience

• Acting for liquidators in relation to an investigation into the loss of £180 million in a period of 12 months includes actions against directors pursuant to s212, 238 & 239 IA86
• Acting for a bank in relation to a portfolio of films where the Bank has a large GAP finance exposure
• Acting for a bank in relation to a receivership sale of a portfolio of firms
• Acting for a bank in relation to various recovery actions against guarantors in this jurisdiction and the United States
• Acting for administrators in relation to litigation commenced in respect of various inter-company loans
• Acting for various administrators in relation to various asset sales and court applications
• Acting for administrators in relation to a multi-million pound group refinancing and reorganisation of a retail group with a large invoice discount facility
• Acting for the board of Eurotunnel in relation to the registration of the Sauveguard proceedings jurisdiction
• Acting in general for officeholders and banks on a number of issues including asset recovery, security issues and asset sales whether in administration, liquidation or receivership
• Acting for the administrators (Kroll) of Ciro Citterio, the high Street fashion retailer
• Acting for the administrators (Kroll) of the restaurant chain Le Petit Blanc
• Acting for the liquidators (EY) of Global Center (formerly part of Global Crossing)
• Involved with a number of reported cases including Spectrum in the House of Lords whilst at RBS
