Joanna specialises in public private projects and in particular public sector outsourcing, PFI and procurement. Joanna advises both central and local government on a wide range of issues with particular regard to improving public sector service delivery through innovative partnership working.

Joanna is widely acknowledged as one of the UK's leading experts in relation to leisure outsourcing projects. Described as the "best in the business", she has particular expertise advising on the establishment of new 'not for profit' organisations to work in partnership with local authorities as well as advising on management contracts with private sector leisure operators. Joanna has recently led a flagship leisure initiative involving a multi-million pound investment in a local authority leisure portfolio.

Joanna is also a leading advisor on the 'Business Improvement Districts' initiative and was retained by the Office of Deputy Prime Minister to advise on the introduction of the scheme into the UK. Joanna has recently advised Reading, Camden, Hammersmith and Ealing on BID projects.
