Entertainment Rights Plc builds its International cast of characters with Us$305 million acquisition of Classic Media
LG, the London-based business law firm, has advised Entertainment Rights plc on its US$305 million acquisition of Classic Media Holdings, Inc., the US-based owner of an extensive portfolio of children's and family characters and brands (including ‘Lassie’ and ‘The Lone Ranger’), as well as on Entertainment Rights’ £71m Placing and Open Offer and new £138 million loan facilities with Bank of Scotland.

LG advises new client Numisma Fund on €250 million refinancing facility
LG has advised new client Numisma Fund, advised by McCafferty Asset Management, on a €250 million refinancing facility of Anglo Irish by Hypo Real Estate Bank International AG. The financing includes a €80 million loan secured on German real estate and a CHF36 million loan on Swiss real estate from Hyporeal Germany.

LG advises Cofra on sale of UK specialist mortgage lending operation
London-based business law firm LG has advised COFRA Holding AG - the Swiss company which holds interests including retail, real estate, private equity investments and financial services - on the disposal of its UK specialist mortgage lending operation, London Mortgage Company, to Lehman Brothers for an undisclosed amount. The deal followed from a wide-ranging international auction process, and the transaction completed on Tuesday, 2 May 2006.

LG advises on £382 million Hilton hotel purchase
LG has advised investors Blenheim Property Group Limited – headed by entrepreneur Igal Ahouvi – on the finance side of the £382million sale and management-back of 15 hotels from the Hilton Group to The Managed Hotels Unit Trust, a Jersey-based unit trust set up by Blenheim Property. Royal Bank of Scotland provided financing for the deal.

LG has advised Grundon Waste Management – half of joint venture Lakeside Energy from Waste Ltd and the UK's largest privately owned waste management company – on its £180 million project to develop an energy from waste facility at Colnbrook, near Slough, which has successfully reached financial close.

LG advises Redevco on £325m securitisation
LG has advised Redevco UK on the £325 million securitisation of the majority of its UK real estate portfolio. As a result of this transaction, Redevco Original Commercial Securitisation PLC, a ring fenced special purpose company, has issued £325 million of bonds.
