LG advises Nexus on string of business disposals

Business law firm LG has advised Nexus Holdings Limited (Nexus), the business publications and events group which is part of the NASDAQ listed Ergo Science Corporation group, on a series of recent business sales.
Most recently the LG team advised on the sale of the Auto and Retail Businesses (comprising the Independent Retail News and Motortrader publications and the Retail Industry Awards and Quality Food Awards), to Metropolis International Group Limited.
Other recent deals include the sales of a number of Nexus's publishing and event assets, among them:
- Harpers Food and Wine magazines and Harpers events, sold to William Reed Business Media Limited;
- Nexus's underwater defence technology business (UDT), which incorporated the European and Asia-Pacific events side of the business, to Clarion Defence and Security Limited;
- The Horticultural portfolio including the Grower and Grower Dictionary, sold to Haymarket Publishing Group Limited;
- The Licence of publications including Mobile Europe and Electrical Review, to St. John Patrick Publishing Limited;
- the sale of events including Iceland Fishing exhibition, Motorship and Marine Fuels & Emissions Conference, to Mercator Media Limited; and
- the sale of the Electrical, Hotel and Dental titles, to Purple Media Solutions Limited.
