LG wins British Legal Award for Best Use of Technology
8 December 2009
International business law firm Lawrence Graham LLP (LG) has won the Best Use of Technology at the British Legal Awards 2009 in recognition of its Blackberry mobile office initiative.
The winning submission was on the strategy adopted for the use of Blackberry devices and associated enterprise applications. The popularity and simplicity of the initiative has made it possible for LG to achieve their strategy of removing dependency on laptops and enabling lawyers to work as if they were in the office, but from anywhere in the world.
Jason Petrucci, LG IT director, said: "This award confirms that our strategy regarding mobility and the continued development of this platform resonates with not only with the lawyers and staff of LG, but the wider legal community. This award has rounded off a very successful year for my team. Through their hard work and effort we have had some great successes this year. We are very proud to have won such a prestigious award."
This follows on from the team being ranked as top for innovation in the Legal Week IT Report 2009, which featured 33 law firms and is based on feedback from more than 3,500 fee earners. Law firms were ranked against a range of criteria designed to measure the overall effectiveness of IT.
Note to editors:
- LG is an international based business law firm with over 240 lawyers, advising international entrepreneurial and growth market clients seeking to raise capital for their business ventures.
