LG expands its Real Estate team

International business law firm Lawrence Graham LLP (LG) is pleased to announce that Iain Thomas will join the Real Estate team as a partner focusing on finance.
Iain was previously head of the Real Estate Finance team at Mayer Brown where he worked for 16 years (11 years as partner). His practice has a real estate finance focus, acting predominantly for lenders in the financing and restructuring areas. He also represents real estate investors, developers and corporate end users, both domestic and international.
Jon Lloyd, LG's co-head of Real Estate said: "We are delighted that Iain is joining us. His work will cross over a great deal with the Finance and Restructuring teams, especially with his strong focus on the banking sector. Iain will join forces with our respected Finance practice, as well as strengthening the expertise of the Real Estate team."
Iain Thomas said: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining LG. They have a superb Real Estate practice and a client base which will really complement what I do. The last couple of years have been very tough in the real estate finance sector, but we are starting to see some signs of activity in both the new lending and restructuring areas, so this is a good time to be making a new start and I am really looking forward to making the move to LG."
Iain's appointment takes effect from 1 January 2010.
