LG named top international legal adviser to the super-rich

LG has been named International Law Firm of the Year at Citywealth's annual Magic Circle Awards, held last night at Millennium Mayfair Hotel.
The Magic Circle Awards recognise the people and businesses that excel in the provision of advisory services to private clients at the £25m-plus level. The awards are independently voted for by the industry and judged by a panel of experts.
LG beat off a list of strong international private client practices including Appleby, Bedell Cristin, Mourant, Ogier, Secretan Troyanov and Trowers & Hamlin.
Anthony Thompson, head of Tax and Private Capital at LG, who accepted the award last night, said: "I am delighted that our team continues to be recognised for its unique and highly successful approach to advising the world's wealthiest individuals and families. This year has been particularly important for us with the opening of our office in Dubai – providing a base from which we service the needs of our clients across the Middle East, India and South East Asia."
Last year, LG's Andrew Young was named Lawyer of the Year at the Magic Circle Awards.
