New partner Steven Cottee joins from Reed Smith Richards Butler

LG has further strengthened its 12-strong corporate recovery practice with the recruitment of Steven Cottee as a partner and of Nancy Kaye and Alexandra Morgan as solicitors.

Steven Cottee joins LG from Reed Smith Richards Butler, where he spent time on secondment with The Royal Bank of Scotland plc. His recent work includes assignments for RBS and DZ bank, as well as a number of cases for BDO Stoy Hayward, Grant Thornton, Kroll and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Steven's practice concentrates on transactional restructuring assignments and advisory work for banks and insolvency practitioners, as well as dispute resolution work in that sector. He also has a specialist focus on film finance reorganisations.

With a significant upturn in new restructuring work, LG has expanded its team further with the hires of Alexandra Morgan from Baker & McKenzie in London and Nancy Kaye from Boyes Turner.

Tom Withyman, head of the LG Corporate Recovery and Restructuring Team said: "LG's Corporate Recovery and Restructuring team goes from strength to strength; we are having our busiest period ever, advising on large, complex cases such as the administration of the 900 strong Swallow pub and hotel chain. Steven brings with him a wealth of experience of restructuring and recovery work for banks and other stakeholders and his recruitment further develops our skills in this area."

Steven Cottee says: "I’m delighted to be joining LG; their Corporate Recovery and Restructuring team has an excellent reputation in the market and I am looking forward to helping in its development and expansion.”

Steven joins LG effective 16 April 2007.
