LG guides new Superconductor Technology onto Aim
22 August 2006
LG, the London-based law firm, is advising Zenergy Power plc ("Zenergy"), the specialist manufacturer and developer of commercial applications for superconductive materials, on its admission to trading on AIM. Shares commence trading today, Tuesday 22 August, with a £30m market capitalisation upon admission.
Zenergy, with operations in Germany, USA and Australia, has since 2003 been developing its own proprietary lower-cost production techniques which it believes will play a key role in the commercialisation and development of applications for superconductor materials. Zenergy's new technology has potential to impact upon a range of sectors including renewable energy production, industrial applications and national power distribution.
Tom Nicholls, corporate partner at LG, led the team advising Zenergy with assistance from John Reed and Sarah Bailey.
Tom said: "Following the group structuring and pre-funding which we completed in June of this year, we are delighted that Zenergy has now achieved its listing and look forward to assisting the Group as they continue to develop and exploit their patented technology."
Teather and Greenwood is acting as nominated adviser and broker to the Group. Their legal advisers are Berwin Leighton Paisner.
