LG advises Wilmington Group on £165m merger with Metal Bulletin

Leading business information providers set to pursue shared growth strategy
LG, the London-based business law firm, has advised long-standing client, Wilmington Group plc ("Wilmington"), the business information and training group, on its proposed recommended merger with Metal Bulletin, the international business information group. The combined market capitalisation of the merged group – to be known as Bulletin Group – will be approximately £330 million.
Bulletin Group will pursue a shared strategy focused on the provision of specialist business information and training to the legal and professional, financial, metals and minerals and business communications markets around the world. The merger is conditional upon the approval of the Wilmington and Metal Bulletin shareholders at their respective EGMs on 2 August.
Sunil Kakkad led the LG team advising Wilmington which included Tim Railton, Michael Lacey, Jane Spiers, Oliver Riley, Adrian Slack and Narmie Devendra.
