Demand for Vietnamese real estate fuels $204.8M AIM float for VinaLand Limited

LG, the London-based business law firm, has advised new client VinaLand Limited ("VinaLand") on its admission to AIM. Trading in VinaLand's shares commenced yesterday, 22 March 2006, giving the company an initial market capitalization at the issue price of approximately $204.8 million.

VinaLand Limited is a newly incorporated company created to engage in property investment and development in Vietnam and surrounding Asian countries. It will operate initially in five property sectors: office, retail, residential, industrial and leisure with a primary focus on Ho Chi Minh City and a secondary focus on Hanoi and key leisure areas in Vietnam.

Grant Thornton acted as nominated adviser to VinaLand and LCF Edmond de Rothschild Securities Limited was broker. Vietnamese legal advise was provided to VinaLand by Baker & McKenzie Vietnam LLP, while Maples and Calder provided Cayman Islands law advice. Faegre & Benson LLP were lawyers for the nominated adviser.
