LG advises on dual listing for Canadian Energy Company
27 June 2006
LG, the London-based business law firm, has advised brokers Jefferies International Limited and Mirabaud Securities Limited, together with Nabarro Wells & Co. Limited as Nominated Adviser to Ithaca Energy, Inc. ("Ithaca Energy") in connection with Ithaca Energy's £28.3m fundraising and dual listing on AIM and the TSX Venture Exchange in Canada. Market capitalisation is approximately £60.7 million.
Ithaca Energy is an oil and gas company focused on the exploration and development of resources in the UK's North Sea. It has built a diversified portfolio of exploration and development assets through participation in the UK’s recent Seaward Licensing rounds and through acquisitions.
Corporate partner Lance Feaver led the LG team advising the brokers and nominated adviser, with assistance from Fiona McIlreavy and Markus Klempa. Lance said:
"There are still relatively few companies with inter-listings on both AIM and TSX Ventures, and satisfying the two regulatory regimes throws up some interesting and challenging issues. We wish Ithaca Energy every success in the future. "
Research Capital Corporation and CIBC World Markets Inc. acted as agents to Ithaca Energy in its offering in Canada. Freshfields acted as UK legal advisers to Ithaca Energy and Burstall Winger LLP acted as Canadian legal advisers.
