Harvest Media Group Limited fuels US expansion with private equity funding

LG, the London-based business law firm, acted for Harvest Media Group Limited ("Harvest") on the investment in the company by discretionary funds managed by FF&P Private Equity Limited (“FF&P”), the private equity division of Fleming Family & Partners.

Harvest provides voting services on ITV's Pop Idol and X-Factor and offers a diverse range of other media solutions.

The US$8m invested by FF&P has allowed Harvest to obtain full control of Telescope, Inc., a leader in mobile services and participation television in North America. With the largest phone voting system in the world, Telescope, Inc. handled over 550 million votes for the most recent series of American Idol.
Corporate partner Hugh Maule led the LG team advising Harvest and was assisted by Geoff Gouriet and Marc Wilshaw.

Hugh said: "We are delighted to have acted for Harvest on this transaction and to be involved in their exciting expansion in the US market".
Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP were the legal advisers to FF&P Private Equity Limited.

Formed in 2004, Harvest designs and implements interactive services for broadcasters utilising the telephone, interactive TV and the internet.
