LG advises Globe Pub Company Limited on pub portfolio acquisition from Heritage Group

LG, the London-based law firm, advised the Globe Pub Company Limited ("Globe"), an R20 company (the investment company of Robert Tchenguiz), on its recent purchase of the Heritage Group and its portfolio of 231 tenanted pubs.
Globe again appointed S&N Pub Enterprises (Management) Limited, wholly owned by Scottish & Newcastle plc, as its managing agent for the Heritage Group portfolio.
A team from LG, led by partner David Hayward, advised on the real estate aspects of the deal and conducted the due diligence on the pubs for Globe and S&N Pub Enterprises (Management) Limited.
David commented: "It is good to continue working with Globe on this string of acquisitions, following from their £345m purchase of a portfolio from Spirit Group last year. Again, the nature of these deals - involving large numbers of properties – require that we deliver our client a maximum amount of information within very tight timescales. Our team enjoys the challenge."
