LG advises Healthcare Locums on acquisition and £128m refinancing
International business law firm Lawrence Graham ("LG") has acted for longstanding AIM-listed client Healthcare Locums Plc (HCL) on its £77.8 million acquisition of Healthcare Australia Holdings Pty Ltd (HCA) and related £128 million debt refinancing. A team led by Richard Lewis at Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Sydney advised HCL on all Australian law aspects of the acquisition and refinancing.
HCL is one of the UK's largest and fastest growing specialist healthcare recruitment companies, focusing on higher margin healthcare recruitment areas such as doctors, surgeons and allied health professionals. HCA is a leading provider of nursing agency staff to public and private health institutions in Australia and the acquisition of HCA will enhance HCL's international capability.
The team advising HCL on English law related aspects of the acquisition and refinancing was led by LG's corporate partner Tim Casben and senior associates Farhod Moghadam and Akhil Sharma, with assistance from associates Neil Calder, Danuta Yarygina and Xanthe Lok.
Tim Casben said: "We are delighted to have acted for HCL on such a significant acquisition and refinancing which greatly enhances HCL's presence in the medical staffing market on the international stage."
