Our Community & Charities
Supporting our local community and various charities close to our hearts is important to us.
LG has a deeply embedded culture of charitable giving. Each year our staff nominate and vote in a Charity Partner and undertake fundraising and volunteering activities for them throughout the year.
Our current Charity Partner is Fairbridge, a national charity supporting young people aged 13-25. The young people they support may have been affected by poverty, addiction, crime, mental health issues, lack of schooling and they have no positive role models. As a result they often exist on the margins of society. Through a combination of one to one support and challenging activities, Fairbridge encourages some of the most chaotic young people in today’s society to take steps to turn their lives around.
LG works closely with the Fairbridge London teams, based in Hackney and Kennington. Additional centres are based in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the UK. Each year over 3,700 young people engage with Fairbridge and for many it is their first step back into education, training or work.
KIDS was LG's Charity Partner in 2008/9. Through a busy programme of fundraising activities, the firm was able to donate to KIDS a total of over £117,000 in support of its work with disabled children, young people and their families.
